Competition: WIN a set of Art Sampler Teas

Stevie Mackenzie-Smith

Proper Tea have collaborated with artist-curator Mike Chavez-Dawson to create a set of arts-themed teas, and we’re giving a bunch away.

Have five words as comforting as “I’ll pop the kettle on” ever been uttered? Manchester teashop Proper Tea and artist-curator Mike Chavez-Dawson have teamed up to create a range of teas that celebrate the power of a good brew and the value of the arts, all in one fell swoop.

Handpicking artists – starting with David Shrigley, Bob and Roberta Smith and Billy Childish – to turn each limited-edition tea tin into a piece of art, Chavez-Dawson has removed the apathy from the everyday nature of tea-making rituals. Where a traditional set might feature Earl Gray or Assam, blends here include tongue-in-cheek Anti-Cuts to the Arts Tea, Anti-Delusional Tea and Anti-Psychotic Tea. Each is surely a cheeky finger (pinky, of course) to the wayward anti-arts policies of our current government; somebody get these blends onto the Downing Street tea trolley, pronto.

We’re giving away one set of Art Sampler Teas. To enter, all you have to do is fill in the form below.

THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED.

Terms and Conditions: The winner will be the first correct entry selected at random from all correct entries received. No purchase necessary. No cash alternative given. Employees of Proper Tea, Teacup, Creative Tourist and associated companies are not eligible to enter. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Winners will be notified as soon as possible after the closing date. Only one entry per person. We apologise for the fact we are unable to post prizes outside of the UK. Entrants will automatically be added to the Creative Tourist mailing list – don’t worry, we never share data and we promise not to bombard you with endless emails. Closing date: Wednesday 27 August.
