Westfest returns to Burton Road for 2019. A free two-day event celebrating the local and independent businesses of Burton Road.

Over the weekend visitors are encouraged to snack, drink and be merry down West Didsbury’s coolest stretch of eateries, shops, beauty salons and everything in between.

There will be live music round every corner, art workshops, drinks offers and street food. Each business is in charge of their offering, guaranteeing a bit of something for everyone over the weekend.

Burton Road stalwart Folk are hosting a jungle-themed party with their usual mix of food, drinks and DJs throughout the weekend. The Melbourne inspired Another Heart to Feed are having a  disco brunch and even The Chippy is getting in on the act with free fizz to their customers who’ll no doubt be queuing up for their famous halloumi dogs.

Zaranda have a steel drum band on the Sunday afternoon, George Charles has a full hog roast and Reserve are doing cheese and wine pairings. We’re looking forward to finding out what the other fantastic Burton Road businesses are doing too.

Westfest is a welcome comeback and a fine excuse to go and enjoy one of Manchester’s finest bits of suburbia.
