Manchester Cathedral hosts ‘Britain’s most adventurous orchestra’ for this season-ending finale. The concert features the world premiere of Colin Riley’s Double Concerto for Two Cellos, with cellists Guy Johnston and Gabriella Swallow – as well as Philip Glass’ Echorus for Two Violins and Strings, from 1995.
The action-packed programme also includes two pieces from the second half of the 18th Century: Haydn’s Symphony No. 38 in C major and Mozart’s Symphony No. 36 in C major (the Linz Symphony).
Plus, arrive early to catch Manchester Camerata Youth Forum’s REmix of Riley’s Double Cello Concerto from 7pm.
