Based at Band on the Wall, Free Jazz brings in Bands from all over the North for you to enjoy without having to depart with any cash! Each night has a line up of four acts. Usually the order in which bands play can be random, so be sure to turn up for the duration if you don’t want to miss out. The nights usually happen on Sunday’s, but this not by any means set, be sure to check the Band on the Wall website for upcoming dates.
Free Jazz represents a large chunk of the Jazz Spectrum. With Jazz-hop based Leeds outfits being programmed alongside classically trained improv based soloists. The night always delivers something that will challenge your perception of what Jazz is and what it might be becoming.
