Chinese New Year Travelling Light Circus at New Cathedral Street, 27 — 28 January 2017 Entrance is free

Manchester’s shopping streets come to a show-stopping standstill (well, almost) thanks to the Travelling Light Circus’ roving parade of dancers, drummers, a stiltwalker and a giant rooster. The ten-strong troupe, dressed in red, black and gold, have been brought to the Chinese New Year celebrations in collaboration with the Dance Department at the University of Salford.
