6 — 15 March 2020 Entrance is free — Visit now

After the roaring success of previous years, 2020 is once again devoting a week to celebrate the scientific innovation and exploration that drives us forward. All over the north you can catch special events, exhibitions and demonstrations to do with our scientific past and promising future.

As well as encouraging grassroots events and inspiring local groups to welcome people into their scientific activities, the ten days of scientific happenings encourages people to discover what’s already going on around them. Be sure to check out the explosive science show at the National Coal Mining Museum, autism friendly mornings at the Manchester Museum or the Notables Exhibition at the Science and Industry Museum.
