Record Store Day at Common

Common Bar in Manchester's Northern Quarter

Record Store Day at Common Bar, Manchester 22 April 2023 Entrance is free

Tucked away on Edge Street in the Northern Quarter, Common has long been one of the Northern Quarter’s best hangouts. From their top selection of beer and pizza to their pop up gigs and arts workshops, the bar is independent through and through.

Making it the perfect partner for Piccadilly Records, who each year team up with common for a special Record Store Day event filled with live music.

Previous years have seen the likes of Aldous RH, CURRENTMOODGIRL and Fruit Tones hitting the stage, with the likes of Space Afrika and WH Lung spinning records until the wee hours.

Entry is always free, and usually, if you show the bar staff a Piccadilly Records RSD receipt, you get 10% off booze!

We’ll be bringing you the latest word on Common’s RSD23 happenings as soon as we have it.

57 Thomas Street

57 Thomas Street is the third outlet belonging to Manchester’s best-known microbrewery, Marble Beers. Unlike the lavish decoration of the Grade II-listed Marble Arch (which also doubles up as a brewery) or the traditional pub layout of the Marble Beer House in Chorlton, this tiny Thomas Street digs has room for just two things: beer and food.
