Aquila Pizza

Keeley Southworth

This Penny Street eatery is renowned for its traditional Neopolitan wood fired pizzas and breads. It imports many of ingredients from Italy including its flour, tomatoes, cheeses and meats.

It’s a relative newcomer to the party, opening in 2020, which has undoubtedly not been without its challenges. Founded by its owner Chris, who by his own admission would eat pizza for every meal given the chance!

After importing a Valoriani wood fired oven from Italy Aquila was born. It is all about traditional pizzas the Italian way with a few high-quality toppings enveloped with a soft base that has a charred wood fired crust.
