17 March 2018 Entrance is free

This March Wythenshawe Forum Library will swing open its doors to This Vibrant Thing – a local library celebration festival-style.

The event promises to be a multi-arts spectacular, celebrating the vibrancy of creativity and our communities – this event is sure to shift the perception of libraries and the potential that these creative spaces have to offer. It’s not just about books anymore.

This Vibrant Thing features Manchester band, 8 Gold Rings who bring the rhythm section to some of the UK’s most inspiring rappers and vocalists.Through every collaboration they craft original material bring their own unique sound to every artist they work with. 8 Gold Rings will headline along with guest artists Mica Millar, Isaiah Hull, MAD Theatre Company, Young Identity, KYSO, HMD, Glue70 and many more.

During this free event, the usually quiet library environment will be transformed into places of sound and colour. Alongside the musical artists, there will be poetry, spoken word, visual art, installations and much more. Pleasingly, the festival will give local talents and up and coming stars the opportunity to showcase alongside established artists.

Expect to encounter an inspiring display of creative experiences which celebrate life, laughter, vitality and our thriving community. The best part about This Vibrant Thing is that the event is completely free – there is no need to book in advance, you can just pop along on the day.
