Everyone has been excited to discover more about this HOME commission since we first learnt of performance artist Bryony Kimmings involvement.

Part of the Homemakers series, where artists have been commissioned to create new work from lockdown, I am falling in love with you and it’s making me do stupid things follows Kimmings through one long, lonely night after she finds the email address of a potential lover in a pile of belongings she has been sorting and decides to make an approach.

Stifled creativity and memories of a simpler, freer time collide with white wine and boredom as Kimmings unravels from meet-cute cutie to hard-drinking party girl through a range of familiar female stereotypes – none of which are getting the desired response.

That familiar sinking feeling of the morning after a messy night is compounded by no reply from her dream man and the onslaught of Covid anxiety in the cold light of day.

Will he ever message her back? Does she care? Find out by ‘paying what you can’ and enjoying I am falling in love with you and it’s making me do stupid things online in an experimental series from HOME which we’re all excited to see.
