Bringing nuns and robots to the Royal Exchange stage is Tim Foley’s Bruntwood Prize Judges’ Award-winning play, Electric Rosary. Sharp, timely and wonderfully witty, Electric Rosary explores what faith means in the age of artificial intelligence.

Behind the dilapidated walls of St Grace’s Convent, an exhausted order of nuns needs resurrecting. And as Easter approaches, Mother Elizabeth has just the thing –  ‘Mary’, a council-funded robot. Could she be the revelation they have all been praying for?
