The Good Life Experience CANCELLED at Hawarden Estate, 10 — 13 September 2020 Tickets from £119 — Book now

Now in its seventh year, The Good Life Experience returns to Flintshire in Wales from the 10th to 13th September 2020. Set in the shadow of two castles on the Hawarden Estate, 15 minutes drive from Chester, the festival is a great place to discover new sounds, new experiences, and dance with new friends.

Each year, the line-up is co-curated by BBC 6 Music DJ Cerys Matthews, who takes cues from the jazz, blues, classical, world, folk and funk that she spins on her show. Whilst 2020’s programme is yet to lunch, looking at last year’s line-up leaves us expecting good things. International Teachers of Pop, Snapped Ankles, and Will Burns + Hanna Peel topped 2019’s bill, with Dave Haslam, Modern Nature, Working Men’s Club, Seatbelts and Errol Linton also featuring.

As well as hosting most of the festival’s music line-up, The Good Life Experience‘s regular Caught by the River stage welcomes a broad range of speakers, with last year’s line-up including Patrick Grant, Salena Godden and Richard King. There’s also some excellent cuisine on offer, with intimate supper clubs hosted by world-renowned chefs all weekend!

Elsewhere, the three-day event features a free 1930s fairground plus dozens of activities such as axe-throwing, fire-walking, mass singalongs, as well as plenty of ‘How to’ talks.

The festival is great for all ages, with free entry for under 12s, and dogs also welcome.

Check back here for the latest word on the 2020 line-up.
