Looking for things to do in Manchester? Celebrate canal culture as The Canal Festival returns. It brings live music, street art, DJ sets, good food from the likes of TAKK and Kosmonaut, kids’ activities, two marquees and a canal-side, pop-up cinema into the heart of the city – to Piccadilly Basin, in fact, just on the edge of the Northern Quarter. Put together by CityCo, Don’t Panic Event Management and 2022NQ, sponsored by Skiddle.com, it’s all free, it’s all weekend, and it’s all at Brownsfield Mill this September. There’s even an after party at 2022NQ. Seriously, what’s not to like?
