MIF Festival in My House and Yours: House of Noir Presents… Kiki
Ben Williams, Managing Editor
MIF Festival in My House and Yours is a regular lockdown edition of Manchester International Festival’s Festival in My House series. Like MIF Rewind>, these sessions are updated and shared online each week and feature different Manchester artists creating and presenting their own “micro-international festivals” in their homes.
This week it’s the turn of, House of Noir, rising stars of Manchester’s vibrant vogue and ballroom scene. Equally at home in the nightclub and on the runway, the collective are creating a one-off quarantine kiki – a super-relaxed, youth-led, politically-driven voguing ball-from-home with the theme “All Dressed Up and Nowhere to Go”.
Expect dazzling live appearances by some of the city’s leading QTIPOC performers (queer, transgender and intersex people of colour). So strike a pose and join us on the virtual dancefloor for a glorious celebration of life, music, diversity and community.
You’ll be able to watch MIF Festival in My House and Yours every week on MIF’s YouTube channel.
