The North is packed with independent breweries, each with their own idiomatic style and personality. One of the many success stories is Kirkstall Brewery, an independent business which has grown from strength to strength. Join then for Leeds Indie Market where they’ll be hosting and championing the goods of over 30 independent Yorkshire based Businesses.

Leeds Indie Markets take applications from the best independent sellers, makers, bakers and artists in Yorkshire. Every event is curated to provide the best atmosphere for a sense of community as well as consumerism. The indie markets bring like minded sellers and buyers into totally independent spaces encouraging people to spend an afternoon soaking up the talent and hardwork of Yorkshire based creatives doing it for themselves, rather than defaulting to the mass production of highstreet brands.

As you would expect from an event based in a brewery, there’ll be a well chosen selection of beers from Kirkstall Brewery on tap. For the peckish, the brewery will also be serving up delicious fresh pizza, the perfect accompaniment to an artisanal pint.

While you shop and hang out expect to be accompanied by some of the best local musicians. The indie markets often involve live music from independent artists, truly supporting independence in a city of creativity in every way. For anyone who’s experienced the variety and skill of Leeds’ buskers you will know just how much of a treat you’re in for.

Whether you’re looking for a one off gift for a loved one, a new piece of artwork to hang in your home or just a tasty snack and a nice time on a Saturday afternoon the Indie Markets have it all.

The event is fully accessible, free of charge and warmly welcomes families and dogs. The market aims to be a relaxed atmosphere where you’ll be accompanied by live music while you peruse through stalls of art, food, home decor and soaps.
