Silent Adventures invite you to take to the streets, dancing and singing your way through the city of Manchester. In Silent Adventures’ silent disco tours, a host will lead you through the centre of town, whilst the headphones guide you through a playlist of 100% bangers. It’s impossible not to get swept up in the good vibes.
you’ll struggle to leave without a beaming smile
Having launched in Edinburgh a couple of years ago, Silent Adventures have gone from strength to strength. They’ve been getting people away from screens and partying in the streets in seven cities across the UK, as well as internationally. This October they’ll be launching in Manchester. With three tours in the autumn, as well as weekly tours in December, expect to see groups of happy headphone wearing faces parting the crowds of Christmas shoppers, like ships of joy through water.
You’ll be listening to classic pop bangers from a range of decades that are guaranteed to get the feet moving and have choruses that everyone knows the words to. Even if the music isn’t your thing, you’ll be blown away by the infectious personality of the host and the positive energy they create within the group.
The tours last around an hour and start in Exchange Square. Whether you need no invitation to be silly in public or would describe yourself as more of a shy, retiring type, Silent Adventures often help people lose any insecurity and inhibitions, letting you just have fun in the streets that you know all too well. The tour starts with a warm up, where you can get used to the group you’re in and get to know the host before making your way through the city.
With dance recently being held up as a brilliant way to help combat mental health problems and the sheer volume of positive vibes that these tours inspire, you’ll struggle to leave without a beaming smile. As well as the tours running this Autumn, Silent Adventures also do private tours which can be tailored by the host so that the music will appeal to that particular group’s tastes, making sure that everyone has a fun time, and have recently started running socially motivated silent disco tours to help those struggling with mental health issues.
