Hotel Gotham

Hotel Gotham is above Jamie’s Italian in Edwin Lutyens’ Midland Bank Building, an art deco beauty that suits the hotel’s name to a point. Inside, however, things get a bit over literal – with bank bag door stops, briefcase ceiling lights and general opulence all gesturing to the building’s financial past, while the Gotham Bugle and Batman logos aplenty gesture to the comic book angle. It’s all very luxurious (for which, read expensive), with rooms ranging all the way up to five Inner Sanctum suites, featuring leather clad walls and a wide screen ‘Wonderwall’ to keep you entertained. Alongside Honey, the hotel’s restaurant, there’s also Club Brass, a private members’ club with exclusive access to the roof terrace.
